Overview
The Contract Terms Template can be used to define a set of terms that are defaulted to Sales Contracts therefore creating consistency of terms across Sales Contracts. Upon creation of a Sales Contract, the Contract Terms Template can be defined and the Sales Contract will inherit the Terms as set in the template. Any changes to the Terms set can be managed via revisions.
NOTE The terms defined within the Contract Terms Template can be configured as editable or not editable when defined on the Sales Contract.
Application
The Contracts Terms Template is used to auto assign a set of terms when creating Sales Contracts. Defining a Contract Terms Template when creating Sales Contracts is not mandatory but it is suggested to configure the templates to ensure consistency of Contract Terms across Sales Contracts.

Contract Terms Template
Processing
Add templates containing Contract Terms as required. Create a new template record and populate the header section as required. Once saved, Contract Terms Template Clauses can be added by clicking the New Contract Terms Template Clause button.
Fields
Contract Terms Template: A unique alpha-numeric identifier up to 50 characters in length.
Description: User-defined alpha-numeric description up to 255 characters in length.
Responsible User: Individual responsible for this Contract Terms Template.
Template is Active: When checked, indicates that this Contract Terms Template is active and available for use on Contracts.
Current Revision (Automatically set): System assigned Revision. Revision is initialized to 1 on an add, and incremented as Contract Terms Clause records associated with this Contract Terms Template are modified.
Current Revision Date (Automatically set): System assigned Revision Date. Revision Date is initialized to TODAY on an add, and updated each time a revision is made.
Clause Fields
Clause Title: User-defined alpha-numeric value up to 50 characters in length.
Clause Description: User-defined alpha-numeric value up to 100 characters in length.
Current Revision (Automatically set): System assigned Revision. Revision is initialized to 1 on an add, and incremented as Contract Terms Clause records associated with this Contract Terms Template are modified.
Current Revision Date (Automatically set): System assigned Revision Date. Revision Date is initialized to TODAY on an add, and updated each time a revision is made.
Clause Content can be Edited: When checked, allows the editing of this Clause Content when used on a Contract.
Clause can be Deleted: When checked, indicates that the Clause can be deleted on Contract.
Deleted: When checked, indicates that this Clause has been flagged as deleted and cannot be used going forward.
Clause Content: User-defined field, containing the textual content for this Clause.
