Overview
Engineering BOM Query/Edit provides two types of functionality.1. A BOM structure display.
- This page will allow the user to perform a BOM search and display the sub-assemblies and/or component items used by the defined parent item.
- Enter required fields by page.
- If applicable, ‘drop down’ fields will display valid selection content.
- If you enter the ‘Parent’ item and click ‘Search BOMs’, you will see a display of the current implemented BOM.

Processing
1. Enter the Parent Item or Component Item to search.
Fields
Parent Item: Engineering Item number of the parent item for which to display the BOM.
NOTE If this field is entered, the ‘Component Item’ field is left blank. Component Item: Engineering item number of the component for which to display the single level BOM where used.
NOTE If this field is entered, the ‘Parent Item’ field is left blank
Status: Status of the Parent Item searched. Selections are: Pending, Released, Implemented.
Add Revision: The revision of the parent item BOM to be displayed.
TIP If multiple revisions have been recorded to the parent, a picklist can be displayed. Effective Date: The start date when the parent item revision becomes effective.
NOTE The BOM Query Filter for ‘Add Revision’ must be set to “All” when working in a Division under No Revision Control. - Once the BOM is displayed, you may edit any of the components.
3. Select Edit if a component line is to be changed.
