Overview

The Freight Term Codes are unique identifiers to be used in the Sales Order process.

For international commerce, 'Freight Terms' are often called 'Incoterms'. These are maintained and published by the International Chamber of Commerce, or ICC.

Application

Creates a Freight Term Code used in the Shipping Sales Order process. These codes are used to identify the terms given when Customers are charged for freight. A default Freight Term is selected on the Customer Class record. This value can be overridden on the Customer Master.

Processing
 

  • To add a new record, select the ‘New’ button from the list view.

  • To view select the Name in the ‘Name’ Column.

  • To edit an existing record, select the ‘Edit’ icon in the Action column or view the record and select 'Edit' from the Actions dropdown.


Fields
 

Code:  This is a unique code used as a Freight Term code.

Description:  This is the detailed description of the Freight Term Code.

Use Customer’s Carrier Account:   When checked, flags Sales Order that the Customer's Carrier Account (stored on Customer Carrier record) will be used for shipments.
