OverviewWhen a customer exceeds its credit limit, sales orders are placed on hold based on the criteria established. In addition to releasing Sales Order credit holds from the
Credit Release page, you can now set and release sales order credit holds using inline edits from the Sales Order Header list view or by using Salesforce administrative solutions such as
Workflow Rules.
SetupTo enable this feature, go to the SO Control record for your division and select Allow Direct Credit Hold Release under the SO Control Credit, Charges & Commissions Tab. When checked, this allows the Sales Order Header Credit Hold flag to be cleared by inline edits and workflows.
IMPORTANT If you do not want users to be able to directly edit the credit hold from the Sales Order Header, make sure your user's
profile or
permission sets do not allow them to 'Edit' the 'Credit Hold' field on the Sales Order Header object.

Processing It is recommended to
create a list view and set filters based upon your criteria such as Credit Hold = True. Also include the Credit Hold field in your Selected Fields. Choose your desired list view on the Sales Order Header and perform an
inline edit on the Credit Hold field. Select the records you want to update and double click on the pencil next to the Credit Hold field. You can only edit fields you have access to.
