Logic:  Set Standard Costs from Simulated
 
The following logic occurs when the user clicks the Submit Button:
  1. The following Item Standard Cost Fields are moved from Current Frozen to Historical:
a. Unit Material Cost
b. Unit Overhead Material Cost
c. Unit Labor Cost
d. Unit Labor Overhead Cost
e. Unit Fringe Overhead Cost
f. Unit Machine Overhead Cost
g. Unit Subcontract Material Overhead Cost
h. Unit Subcontract Labor Overhead Cost
  1. If this is a Standard Cost Division, then the following will be done:
a. The standard variance general journal entries will be created, which will debit (/credit) the standards variance and credit(/debit) inventory.
b. For the Work Order Supply Dollars that have been ‘charged out’ (i.e. for those work orders where there have been receipts from WIP into Inventory), their costs will be adjusted at the cost element level by a factor of the New Accounting Standard (i.e. simulated) divided by the Old Accounting Standard (i.e. Current Frozen).
  1. The following Item Standard Cost Fields are moved from Simulated to Current Frozen:
a. Unit Material Cost
b. Unit Overhead Material Cost
c. Unit Labor Cost
d. Unit Labor Overhead Cost
e. Unit Fringe Overhead Cost
f. Unit Machine Overhead Cost
g. Unit Subcontract Material Overhead Cost
h. Unit Subcontract Labor Overhead Cost
  1. The Simulated Standard Setup, Run and Machine Hours on the Routing Operation for those Operations whose Simulated Standard Set Date is less than the program processing date will be reset as follows:
a. If the Txn Type is Automatic then:

i. If the Routing Operation Setup Hrs Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Setup Hrs are set from Simulated.
ii. If the Routing Operation Run Hrs Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Run Hrs are set from Simulated.
iii. If the Routing Operation Machine Hrs Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Machine Hrs are set from Simulated.
iv. The Routing Operation Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if any of these standards are updated.

b. If the Txn Type is Manual then:

i. If the Routing Operation Setup Hrs Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Setup Hrs are set from Simulated.
ii. If the Routing Operation Run Hrs Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Run Hrs are set from Simulated.
iii. If the Routing Operation Machine Hrs Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Machine Hrs are set from Simulated.
iv. The Routing Operation Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if any of these standards are updated.
  1. The Simulated Hourly Rate on the Labor Grade records whose Simulated Standard Set Date is less than the program processing date will be reset as follows:
a. If the Txn Type is Automatic then:

i. If the Labor Grade Hourly Rate Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Hourly Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. The Labor Grade Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if this standard is updated.

b. If the Txn Type is Manual then:

i. If the Labor Grade Hourly Rate Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Hourly Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. The Labor Grade Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if this standard is updated.
  1. The Simulated Overhead Rate on the Machine Master records whose Simulated Standard Set Date is less than the program processing date will be reset as follows:
a. If the Txn Type is Automatic then:
 
i. If the Machine Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. The Machine Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if this standard is updated.
 
b. If the Txn Type is Manual then:

i. If the Machine Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. The Machine Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if this standard is updated.
  1. The Simulated Overhead Rates on the Department Master records whose Simulated Standard Set Date is less than the program processing date will be reset as follows:
a. If the Txn Type is Automatic then:
 
i. If the Department Labor Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Labor Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. If the Department Fringe Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Automatic.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Fringe Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
iii. The Department Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if either of these standards are updated.
 
b. If the Txn Type is Manual then:
 
i. If the Department Labor Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Labor Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
ii. If the Department Fringe Overhead Rate Simulated Indicator is Manual.
  1. The Current Frozen Standard Fringe Overhead Rate is set from Simulated.
iii. The Department Simulated Standard Set Date is set to Today if either of these standards are updated.
  1. The ICITEMSTD_SIMSTDSETDATE will be set to Today’s date.
