Overview
A Manufacturing Machine Master identifies a specific machine within a Work Center.
Application
The Manufacturing Machine Master is used to identify a specific machine in a specific work center. It is assgined to a routing operation when the work center to which it is defined is selected on the routing operation.
Manufacturing Machine Masters records are optional. They are defined when there is a requirement to assign a specific machine, in a specific work center, to a routing operations.

Select New Machine Master button (or select Edit to access an existing record).
Process

Fields
Division: The is the Manufacturing Division with which this Machine Master is associated.
Machine Number: A unique, user defined, identifier for this Machine Number. Up to 10 alpha-numeric characters may be used.
Description: A user defined description for this Machine Master.
Work Center: The Work Center this Machine Master is associated with.
Responsible Planner: The Manufacturing User designated as the Responsible Planner for this Machine Master. A reference field for filtering reports and/or queries.
Hourly Rate Option: This selection specifies the method of updating the Hourly Rate, Std value from the Hourly Rate, Sim value.

Manual Entry: Selecting this value indicates that the system WILL NOT copy the Hourly Rate, Sim. to Hourly Rate, Std. the “Set Standard from Simulated” Cost Update Program, and that the Machine Hourly Rate Standard will be maintained manually

Copy from Simulated: Selecting this value indicates that the system WILL copy the Machine Hourly Rate Simulated to Machine Hourly Rate Standard during the “Set Standard from Simulated” Cost Update Program. If chosen, this field is disabled here and is maintained by the Cost Rollup process.
Sim to Std Roll Date: Set by the system. Displays the most recent date the Simulated Rates were rolled to Standard Rates.Sim to Std Roll Date:
Hourly Rate, Sim: The simulated hourly rate for this Machine Master. It is use in the simulated cost rollups.
Hourly Rate, Std: The standard hourly rate for this work center. It is the value used to calculate the standards currently used. It is also the rate multiplies by the the machine hours reported to calculate an actual work order operation machine cost.
Sales Price Per Hour: This is the billing rate per per hour if this machine is specified in Independent Operations
