Overview

Records showing commissions owed and commissions paid.

Application

To record commissions that have been paid. To view paid commissions

Setup 1 - Salesperson (Required)

  • Used to establish Salespersons in Rootstock.
  • Navigation:  Rootstock Salesperson Master
Setup 2 - Sales Order Control (Optional)
  • Used to set in a Division when commission is paid and if there is a Salesperson or Salespersons commissioned from divisional activity.
  • Navigation: Sales Order Control > SO Control Default Commission Schedule Schedule
  • Navigation: Sales Order Control > SO Control Credit, Charges & Commissions Tab

Setup 3- Customer Master (Optional)

  • Used when the Salesperson is to be predefined to a customer.
  • Navigation: Customer Master > Related > Customer Commission Schedule


Assigning a Salesperson to a Sales Order

When processing a Sales Order, a Salesperson can be added or removed from the Sales Order Header or the Sales Order Line.

Option 1 - Assigning a Salesperson to a Sales Order Header
 

Navigation: Sales Order Header > Quick Links > Commission Detail
 

Option 2 - Assigning a Salesperson to a Sales Order Line Detail

Processing

The Sales Commission process allows you to view and make Commission payments.

Step 1 – Enter selection criteria

Fields
 

Salesperson ID: Enter the desired Salesperson ID.

Customer:  This value is the Customer associated with this Sales Order Invoice or Credit Memo.

Invoice Number: Enter a valid Invoice Number.

Product: The Product shipped that this Invoice Line is for.

Sales Region: This is the Sales Region associated with the customer.

Sales Year: This value defines the Sales Year for which this Sales Order Invoice or Credit Memo is to apply.

Sales Period:  This value defines the Sales Period for which this Sales Order Invoice or Credit Memo is to apply.

Only Un-Paid Transactions: When checked, displays only un-paid transactions.

Only Paid Transactions: When checked displays only paid transactions.

Invoices are Displayed

Select ‘Make Commission Payments’ Button

Step 2 – Select the invoices for which commission is to be paid
 

Selected: Check the indicator box for the line representing the invoice to be paid.

Check Number for All Payments:  This entry will populate all lines. If only specific invoices are to be paid, enter this value on the line.

Voucher Number for All Payments:  This entry will populate all lines. If only specific invoices are to be paid, enter this value on the line.


Step 3 – Select the‘ Pay Selected Commissions’ button


The display will refresh with the line selected for payment not displaying.
