Overview
Describe fields and related functionality in the Sales Order Header > Form Templates tab. After completing changes, users can commit them by clicking Save on the Sales Order Header.
Fields
Form Templates Tab
Form Template – Acknowledgement: Form Template used for printing Rootstock Sales Order Acknowledgements. If a value is selected on the effective Customer Master, that value will be set here. Otherwise, the default form will be the value set on the Sales Order Control record for the Division of this Sales Order. Whether this field is blank (which it will be if using the Sales Order Control default) or has a value defaulted from the effective Customer, it can be overridden on this particular Sales Order by selecting a different Form Template.
Form Template - Quote: Form Template used for printing Rootstock Quotes. If a value is selected on the effective Customer Master, that value will be set here. Otherwise, the default form will be the value set on the Sales Order Control record for the Division of this Sales Order. Whether this field is blank (which it will be if using the Sales Order Control default) or has a value defaulted from the effective Customer, this field can be overridden on this particular Sales Order by selecting a different Form Template.
Form Template – Packing Slip: Form Template used for printing Rootstock Packing Slips. If a value is selected on the effective Customer Master, that value will be set here. Otherwise, the default form will be the value set on the Sales Order Control record for the Division of this Sales Order. Whether this field is blank (which it will be if using the Sales Order Control default), or has a value defaulted from the effective Customer, it can be overridden on this particular Sales Order by selecting a different Form Template.
Form Template – Invoice: Form Template used for printing Rootstock Sales Order Invoices. If a value is selected on the effective Customer Master, that value will be set here. Otherwise, the default form will be the value set on the Sales Order Control record for the Division of this Sales Order. Whether this field is blank (which it will be if using the Sales Order Control default) or has a value defaulted from the effective Customer, it can be overridden on this particular Sales Order by selecting a different Form Template.
Form Template – Credit Memo: The Form Template used for printing Rootstock Credit Memos. If a value is selected on the effective Customer Master, that value will be set here. Otherwise, the default form will be the value set on the Sales Order Control record for the Division of this Sales Order. Whether this field is blank (which it will be if using the Sales Order Control default) or has a value defaulted from the effective Customer, it can be overridden on this particular Sales Order by selecting a different Form Template.
Fields available in Lightning
Form Template - Picklist: This field carries the form template (RootForm or Email Template) that is to be used when creating order-specific Picklists. The field is optional - when left blank the default template defined on the Sales Control is used.
