Overview

The Inventory Item Std Cost > Simulated Purchase Price is the source of the material cost for the Simulated Cost Rollup.

Application

 
Entering or Updating the Inventory Item Std Cost > Simulated Purchase Price.  Three options.
 
Populated by selecting the Set Sim Purchase Price From PO Derived Cost function
Manually entered
Populated using a CSV Data Load .

Setup

Inventory Item Std Cost > Material Cost Update Option

 
Material Cost Update Option:  Copy from PO History.  The Simulated Purchase Price will be populated from the value in the PO Item Cost > Std Material Field

Material Cost Update Option:  Manual Entry.  The Simulated Purchase Price is manually entered.

Process - Option 1 - Material Cost Update Option = Copy from PO History
 
Fields
 
Division:  Enter the Division for which the program should be run.
 
User-added image  NOTE The only input field is Division. All of the Purchase Item Cost Master records, for direct material items in the specified division, will be processed.
 
Submit button is selected
 
When the Inventory Item Std Cost > Material Cost Update Option indicator is set to  Copy From PO History , the item’s PO Item Cost field  Std Material Cost is set equal to the PO Item Cost >Std Material Cost .  The PO Item Cost is converted to the Inventory Unit of Measure using the Purchase to Inventory Unit of Measure Conversion Factor.

Process - Option 2 - Material Cost Update Option = Manual Entry

Edit the Inventory Item Std Cost record

Manually enter the value.

User-added image  NOTE  When the Inventory Item Std Cost > Material Cost Update Option is ‘Manual’ the program will not process that specific Inventory Item Standard Cost Record.
