Overview
The following is the process for setting up Rootstock System Custom Configurations, which allows for the mapping of custom fields from certain Salesforce Objects to certain Rootstock Objects.
- Custom fields from the ‘Salesforce Opportunities’ object can be mapped to custom fields on the Rootstock ‘Sales Order’.
- Custom fields on the Salesforce ‘Opportunity Product’ object can be mapped to custom fields on the Rootstock ‘Sales Order Line’ object.
- Custom fields on the Salesforce ‘Quotes’ object can be mapped to custom fields on the Rootstock ‘Sales Order’ object.
- Custom fields on the Salesforce ‘Quote Line Items’ object can be mapped to custom fields on the Rootstock ‘Sales Order Line’ object.
- A custom field on the Salesforce ‘Opportunity Product’ and/or ‘Quote Line Items’ object(s) can be selected to be mapped to the Rootstock Product Number, for creating a new Product (and Item Number) in Rootstock during the process of creating a new Rootstock Quote or Sales Order from either the Salesforce Opportunity or Quote.
Setup
- Navigate to the ‘System Custom Configuration’ selection on the Sitemap, under ‘Sales Order Setup’.
- Enter the desired fields and save.
Fields
SF Opportunity Line - Item Number Field: SF Opportunity Line Field for Item Number
SF Quote Line - Item Number Field: SF Quote Line Field for Item Number
Opportunity Job Number Field: This is the name of the Opportunity field containing the Opportunity Job Number. The value of this field will be used as the Order number for Rootstock Quotes and Sales Orders.
