Overview

  • This function supports the recording of actual manufacturing activities to a Work Order Operation; reporting is done at the Work Order Operation level.

  • Use this screen to select operations for the entry of Machine setup and run time, Setup and Run Labor hours, and operation Quantity completed.

  • The selection criteria can be set by Work Orders for a Project or Work Orders for a specific item.

  • An indicator box controls whether the display shows only operations with a quantity available or all operations regardless of quantity available.

  • When a quantity is booked, the quantity complete for the operation is updated, and that quantity is moved to the next operation.

User-added image  NOTE  On the last operation, the recording of a quantity complete is accomplished with a Work Order Receipt transaction.

  • The financial impact of a Time Booking is a debit to the Work Order Work In Progress Sub-Ledger Account from the Inventory Commodity Code (or as overridden on the Inventory Item Master), and a Credit to the Division Labor Clearing Sub-Ledger Account. Overhead costs are calculated if set up to be used.

  • The Work Order operation cost is updated as the Work Order Cost Summary.

Application

Use this function to record Time and/or Quantities complete to a Work Order operation. The transaction will also update labor charges to the Work Order, increasing the Work In Progress valuation.
