Overview
Rootstock Sales Orders can be created from Salesforce Quotes that can leverage the Rootstock Pricing Logic (Sales Order Price Discount Logic - Overview).
Processing
Creating a Rootstock Sales Order from a Salesforce Quote:
1. From the Salesforce Quote record, click the ‘Create Rootstock Sales Order’ button (for Classic) or Create 'Rootstock Quote/Order' custom link (for Lightning) which will direct the user to the Rootstock Sales Order screens.
NOTE If Create Rootstock Sales Order button or Create Rootstock Quote / Order custom link is not available on the page layout, then edit the Page Layout for Salesforce Quote object and add the Create Rootstock Sales Order button (for Classic) or Create Rootstock Quote / Order custom Link (for Lightning) menus respectively.
2. Once the new Sales Order header has been saved, the Salesforce Opportunity and Quote information is available on the Rootstock Sales Order header as hyperlinks which lead back to the Salesforce objects. The Salesforce Opportunity is updated with the Salesforce Quote and Sales Order details.
NOTE Rootstock Pricing logic will not apply to Products added to the Salesforce Opportunity/Salesforce Quotes. For detailed information on Rootstock Pricing Logic see Sales Order Price Discount Logic - Overview.
