Salesforce Opportunities, Quotes and Price Books work hand in hand with the associated Rootstock records.

 
Establishing a ‘Price Book’ record in Salesforce can be a good place to start if the aim is going to be to create/maintain Salesforce Opportunities and Quotes first, and then access/create Rootstock Quotes and Sales Orders from Salesforce.  This is also applicable if the Company’s Administrative objective is to create/maintain Quotes and Sales Orders from both the Rootstock and the Salesforce side.  Perhaps some existing administrative resources are most comfortable in Salesforce and there is already protocol to handle Opportunities and Quotes from there first, while some would prefer to use their Rootstock license, making the Quotes and Sales Orders inception point be from within Rootstock.
