Overview
After the Work Order operations have been “extracted”, they can be deleted.
When a Work Order is entered and saved, the Extract Operations button is used to extract the Manufacturing Engineering Routing for the Parent Item. After the Operation has been extracted it be deleted by selecting the Delete Operation button.
When the Extract Components button is selected, the Engineering Bill of material is copied and extended by the Work Order quantity to create the Work Order Component records. After the Work Order components have been “extracted” they can be deleted by selecting the Delete Components button.
NOTE By selecting either button, all routing operations or all component records are deleted. Records against which transactions have been recorded cannot be deleted.
Application
This is used when the Routing Operations and/or Component Materials on a Work Order need to be deleted.
EXAMPLE
Routing Operation Example: A difference sequence and set of operations need to be used on the given Work Order.
Component Example: Components may not be available and a different set of components is to be used.
