Entitlement Products are used in the Sales Contract functionality and are Services that are provided at a reduced price, or for free, and normally associated to servicable Products sold via the Contract. Entitlements Products are created and then associated to other Products that are deployed to a Customer with entitlement limits if required.
An example of an Entitlement Product would be Free Calls as part of a cell phone plan. The plan may have a limit on the number of free calls that can be made during a defined period and once the calls made during the period have exceeded the free call threshold, the calls are charged at a default or contractual price. To configure this scenario in Rootstock, an Entitlement Product called Free Calls is created and Entitilement Details defined (Qty Limit or Dollar Limit etc). Once the Entitlement Product is created, it can then be associated with another Product (e.g. Cell Phone Plan) via the Entitled-To Products button on the Entitlement Detail tab.
Another example would be a Warranty that is supplied as part of a Product. The Warranty Entitlement Product is created and then associated with the Product that the Warranty covers.
Application

Pricing and Quantity breaks can be controlled as the Services and or Products are issued/consumed based on parameters set on the Entitlement Product or Sales Contract.

Save.
Open the Entitlement Detail tab and click on Entitled to Products button.
