Overview
The Inventory Item Associated Items feature allows users to map an Inventory Item to other related Inventory Items within the organization. A dedicated management tab enables users to manually add, edit, or delete associated items, while a data loading option allows bulk creation for convenience.
Header Section
Details
Inventory Item Associated Item Name: The name of the associated inventory item.
Inventory Item: The name of the parent inventory item.
Associated Inventory Item: The name of the associated inventory item.
Relationship: The relationship between the parent inventory item and the associated inventory item. The relationship can be either 'DRP Equivalent' or 'Reference Only'.
DRP Equivalent: Inventory items that can be interchangeably used for demand and supply alignment in distribution planning.
NOTE For records with a DRP Equivalent relationship in the Inventory Item Master, Planned Location Transfer records are generated based on the available on-hand quantity in the Inventory Item by Location records.
Reference Only: Inventory items linked purely for informational purposes without impacting distribution planning. [Future use]
