Sales Orders - Centralized Sales & Non-Centralized Engineering + Revision Based Inventory Structure

Overview

Defines object relationships when using a Company set up with a Centralized Sales Division, not with a Centralized Engineering Division and using Revision Based Inventory.

Application

This model is an extension of Sales Orders - Centralized Sales & Non-Centralized Engineering Structure.

It would be used when it is necessary to track revision-specific inventory under non-centralized engineering companies, understanding that, non-centralized engineering provides a one-to-one relationship between Engineering and Inventory Item entities (regardless of the number of inventory revisions). Whereas using Revision Based Inventory, there could potentially be a one-to-many relationship between the Master Engineering Item Master and its Revision Based Inventory Items (one per Master revision).



Revision based inventory could also be used in conjunction with Non-Centralized Sales Divisions, where it would be possible to create trees of Inventory Revision Master (Engineering) Items set to 'Create Multi-Revision Product' (and its Revision-Based Engineering/Inventory/Purchase Items) in multiple Divisions, which could create Product Masters on multiple Sales DIvisions.
