Overview
When the Item Number of the Parent Item (or Assembly) that will be produced on the Work Order is a serialized item, the "Generate Serials" button is visible on the Work Order Header. Also, the Serial Number Tab will be displayed in the Related Lists section.
Navigation
Work Order > Work Order Header > Generate Serials Button
By Clicking the Generate Serials button, the item serial number can be generated. The number of serial number records generated will be equal to the work order quantity.
NOTE The Generate Serials button will not be available on Work Orders with Planned status.
