Inbound Shipment Route Master records are used in the Inbound Shipment process and define predetermined Shipment Routes with detailed Shipment Steps.
See below diagram that shows how the Shipment Routes are used in the Inbound Shipment process.

Inbound Shipment Route 
  • This path takes the user to a List View of the Inbound Shipment Route records.
  • Select ‘New’ to create a new record or click on the name to update an existing record. 
  • Define the Shipment Route ID, choose an existing Inbound Shipment Route Type from the dropdown menu, add a Description for the Route and Save.
  • To add steps to the Route (see below example), click Edit and add Shipment steps as required.
  • The steps defined within this record will default to the Inbound Shipment record when the Inbound Shipment Route is used.

Fields
Division: Division is set to the current division of the user and cannot be changed directly in this process.
  • To create a transaction in another division, the user can use the Quick Menu option, or update the current division on the Manufacturing User record in System Setup.
  • Only data within this division will be displayed.
Shipment Route ID: Unique user-defined alpha-numeric identifier up to 30 characters in length.

Inbound Shipment Route Type: Required type, using values established in Inbound Shipment Route Type table. Select desired Route Type from dropdown.

Description: User-defined alpha-numeric description of the step up to 100 characters in length.
