Overview

This screen displays the Item Average Cost values, which are calculated by the system.

Fields
 

Avg Unit Cost, Material:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Labor:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Material Ohd:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Labor Ohd:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Fringe Ohd:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Machine Ohd:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Subcontract Material:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Subcontract Lab:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element (unit cost x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Unit Cost, Total:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an Item is increased in inventory. This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost (unit cost total x quantity) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

NOTE: When a Division is configured to use Freight and Landed Cost, two additional cost fields will display, the Average Cost, Freight and Avg Cost, Other Landed Cost fields.

Avg Cost, Freight:  Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory.  This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element  (unit cost x qty) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.

Avg Cost, Other Landed Cost: Under Weighted Avg Cost, this is re-averaged when an item that carries this cost element is increased in inventory.  This is calculated by adding the total value of this cost element  (unit cost x qty) to the existing value divided by the new total quantity.
