Overview
Every Journal Entry in Rootstock is uniquely identified by an automatically assigned, non-repeating number. Many companies assign standard identifiers to regularly recurring Journal Entries, and this optional feature is designed to accommodate them. The feature allows user companies to define reusable standard ID codes that can be applied to Journal Entries and to the (also optional) Journal Entry Templates that can be turned into Journal Entries. If this optional feature is used, the Convert JE Templates to JEs for a Period function will create a checklist for monitoring the process of completing the period’s standard entries.
