Overview
The Manufacturing User (Manufacturing User Number) Record defines each Manufacturing User’s capabilities and cost indicators when reporting labor and quantities complete during Work Order Booking Activity. Each person who reports labor and/or quantities to Work Orders must have a Manufacturing User Number Record. An Employee Record must exist prior to creating a Manufacturing User Record.

Fields - Work Order Related (Only)
Labor Ohd: When checked, any labor charged by this user computes Labor Overhead Cost by multiplying the Hours Booked times the Hourly Rate Paid this user, then multiplying that amount by the Labor Overhead Rate for the Manufacturing Department.
Fringe Ohd: When checked, any labor charged by this user computes Fringe Overhead Cost by multiplying the Hours Booked times the Hourly Rate for this user, then multiplying that amount by the Fringe Overhead Rate for the Manufacturing Department.
Labor Grade: The actual Labor Grade used in the Cost Roll-up Calculation for Operational Costs (See Shop Floor > Manufacturing Labor Grade).
Hourly Rate: The Manufacturing User’s actual Hourly Rate used in calculating Labor Booked to a Work Order (Hourly Rate x Hours Charged).
Shift: This is the Manufacturing User’s assigned shift.
WO Labor Booking Allowed: When checked (default) this allows the Manufacturing User to book Work Order Labor.
WO Quantity Booking Allowed: When checked (Default) this allows the Manufacturing User to perform a Work Order Quantity Booking.
Labor Supervisor: When checked, this Manufacturing User has the ability to enter Labor Time and Quantity Bookings for any Manufacturing User. When unchecked, this Manufacturing User can only make entries for themself.
Shop Floor Only User: Shop Floor only Manufacturing Users have access to only the following Rootstock processes (and the reversals of those processes):
- Labor Booking
- Work Order Issue
- Work Order Receipt
- Clock On and Clock Off
- Shop Floor Time Entry
NOTE Shop Floor Only Users only count against the Rootstock Labor-Charging-User-License.Shop Floor User Start Option: When a Shop Floor Only User logs in to Rootstock, this field denotes the specific process page where that person will automatically begin, as opposed to Standard Manufacturing Users who start at the Rootstock Site Map or Rootstock Menu Bar.

Expanded Shop Floor Only User: When checked, the User can perform the following processes (along with reversals, as appropriate):
- Labor Booking
- Work Order Issue
- Work Order Receipt
- Clock On and Clock Off
- Shop Floor
- Time Entry
- Sale Order Fulfillment
- Location Add
- Location Adjust
- Location Transfer
Expanded Shop Floor User Start Option: When an Expanded Shop Floor Only User logs in to Rootstock, this field denotes the specific process page where that person will automatically begin. Select the Expanded Start Option for this Manufacturing User when the “Expanded Shop Floor Only User” indicator box is checked.
