Overview
The operation created when labor is reported to a Work Order.
Terminology
Operation Header Information
Operation Number: This is the operation number of the Routing Operation.
Description: This is a brief description of the work to be done at this operation.
Process Number: This is the Manufacturing Process selected for this Routing Operation.
Work Center: The manufacturing Work Center selected for this Routing Operation.
Assigned to: The Manufacturing User assigned to this Work Order Operation.
Concurrent Sequence: When entering concurrent operations, this field holds the operation number(s) that can be run concurrently with this operation.
Operation Active: When checked indicates that this Operation is in effect. When Unchecked indicates that this Operation is not in effect. The default value is checked (Active).
Released: When checked, this indicates that this Work Order Operation has been released and is OK to process.
Labor Only Operation: Indicates this operation only requires labor; material is not involved.
Outside Operation Indicator: If this operation will be performed by an outside Vendor, this box needs to be checked. The system will require a valid Purchase Order to handle any outside operation.
Labor Stds Tab
Set Up Type: This field denotes whether there is a setup and if so, is the standard based on a per piece of time or based on the batch regardless of the number of pieces. Valid values are: B - Per Batch; N - None; Q - Per Piece.
Set Up Labor Grade: This field value defines the Labor Grade of the employee that is expected to do the setup. It is populated from the Manufacturing Labor Grades table.
Setup Standard Hours: This value is the Setup Standard Hours. It is the defined time for the Setup Activity and its value is based on Setup type of: B - Per Batch; N - None; Q - Per Piece.
Run Type: This field denotes whether there is Run Time, and if so, the standard based on Per Piece Time or on the batch regardless of the number of pieces. Valid values are: B - Per Batch; N - None; Q - Per Piece.
Run Labor Grade: This value defines the Labor Grade of the employee that is expected to perform the Labor Process (i.e. Run). It is populated by Manufacturing Labor Grades.
Run Standard Hours: This value is the Run Standard Hours. It is the defined time for the Run Activity and is based on Setup type of: B - Per Batch; N - None; Q - Per Piece.
